Dallas, TX, February 1st, 2008: Tidewater Consulting Group has partnered with the Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC) to offer modeling and simulation services to healthcare providers in the United States. “This partnership strengthens our capabilities to improve operational throughput, patient safety, clinical quality and even help design hospitals that are more patient friendly”, says Tidewater’s Managing Partner, Colin Konschak. VMASC will provide the modeling and simulation technology and subject matter experts, while Tidewater will provide healthcare operations experts, clinical transformationalists and management consultants.

The partnership will create computer simulations and conduct programs analysis to meet client’s needs by leveraging $3M in software and hardware dedicated to M&S. The team will work closely with clients to plan and execute complex M&S tasks associated with new construction, departmental redesign, throughput, etc. Computer simulations provide the capability to: quickly and economically test theories and ideas , help visualize and understand complex situations before decisions are made, prioritize labor and capital investment opportunities and reduce the risk inherent in business decisions.
